Terms and Conditions
Last updated: August 16, 2026
These Terms govern your use of the Precision Time website and our repair services. By using the website or leaving a timepiece with us, you agree to them.
1. Services
We repair and service watches and clocks. All work is subject to inspection and to our assessment of whether the piece can be repaired.
We also accept timepieces by mail from elsewhere in Canada and the United States. Please contact us before shipping. Shipping is at your cost, and we ask that you include a prepaid return label so the piece can be returned to you if you decide not to proceed after the quote.
Submitting an inquiry does not guarantee that we will accept the work.
2. Estimates and Approval
We give you an estimate after inspecting your timepiece. We do not carry out chargeable work before you approve it. If more work is needed than estimated, we contact you first.
Inspection and diagnosis are free.
3. Prices and Payment
Prices are in Canadian dollars. Payment is due when the work is complete and before the timepiece is returned to you, unless we agree otherwise.
4. Timeframes
Any timeframe we give is an estimate, not a guarantee.
5. Parts
Where a part must be replaced, we use new, refurbished or equivalent parts suitable for the piece. If a manufacturer part is unavailable, we tell you what we propose to use.
6. Warranty
Our professionals always stand behind our service and our commitment to you. Our rule is simple: if something we repaired is not right, contact us, bring it back, and we will put it right.
7. Condition of Your Timepiece
Watches and clocks brought to us are often old and worn. We are not responsible for pre-existing conditions, wear, manufacturer defects, or problems arising from work previously carried out by others. Where we identify such a condition, we tell you about it.
Please tell us before leaving a piece with us if it has exceptional value.
8. Water Resistance
Our experts follow each manufacturer's guidelines: every timepiece we service, lubricate or grease is maintained to the brand's specifications.
9. Collecting Your Timepiece
We contact you when your timepiece is ready. Please collect it promptly. A completed timepiece left with us remains your property, and we will make reasonable attempts to reach you using the contact details you gave us.
10. Photographs
We photograph timepieces as part of our repair process and may use those images to show examples of our work. See our Privacy Policy for how these images are used and how to opt out.
